Sustainability Statement

We are dedicated to producing beautiful books that you'll want to re-read, while minimizing our environmental impact. Our commitment to sustainability guides every aspect of our operations, from material selection to transportation methods, and we are constantly researching new methods to make our books more sustainable.

 

As a former print production manager, Sam has always been passionate about reducing the environmental impact of printing, and is certified Carbon Literate by the Carbon Literacy Project.

We have implemented the following practices to reduce our ecological footprint:

• We carefully select suppliers and exclusively produce in the UK to minimize transport emissions and ensure fair working conditions.

• Our paper is either 100% recycled or FSC™️ (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.

• We choose printers who use non-toxic inks. 

• We produce small print runs to minimize the risk of unsold books having to be discarded.

• We choose printers who have ISO 14001 certification, or similar, and are seeking to reduce their impact on the environment.

• Our formats are designed to maximize paper efficiency and minimize consumption.

• Packaging is biodegradable and/or recyclable.

• We may pack your book in reused packaging materials. 

• Banner stands are produced from wood and recyclable materials.

• Marketing is produced in small print runs, on recycled paper.
